In my 30 second POV project, we were asked to create a short film animated with any media we want. With the aid of past rotations that have taught me basic skills from programmes such as Adobe After Effects and Photoshop, I had successfully created a short film that mainstreamed in coffee addiction. This 2D and 3D mixed media was created first by me building a 3D module of a trippy building and a coffee cup. I screen recorded around it and then imported it to adobe photoshop and I drew over it scene by scene before uploading it to Adobe After Effects for editing and special effects. I picked the soundtrack Coffee by Jack Stauber. After altering and editing Jack Staubar’s song with imovie, I uploaded it for the background music. These lyrics highlight on addiction and how some can be dependent on coffee. “Do I need it to survive?”. Personally, I think everyone can resonate with this song because everyone battles with some kind of addiction or another. Addiction can be just as simple as coffee or video games or as critical as substance abuse. In this short film I made, the unnamed character drowns herself in coffee, showing how the desperate need of coffee lead to self destruction.
